2023 Conference Highlights
Thanks for Joining Us
With the help of Florida food service professionals, educators, producers and Farm to School advocates, we successfully brought back the Florida Farm to School Conference. We enjoyed connecting with schools, distributors and producers across the state to increase Florida products served in schools.
Attendees took every opportunity to interact and share successes and challenges. We identified innovative ways to collaborate, and to strengthen our shared vision for the future of Florida’s Farm to School initiative.
2023 Conference Recap
The 2023 Conference was a two-day event where participants learned about best practices for school gardening and procurement processes, networked with other Farm to School advocates and heard success stories from partners with strategies for a successful Farm to School program.
“When our schools prioritize Florida-grown food, we all succeed – from the local farmers who grew the food, to those who delivered the food, to the school staff who purchased and prepared the food, to the students who enjoy the fresh, nutritious food, and every Floridian in between.” – Commissioner Wilton Simpson
Do Good Farm
Do Good Farm began in 2010, with a passion to affect local and global hunger through sustainable farming for communities in need. The farm’s typical nonprofit model uses fundraisers to raise money for communities in need and gives these communities the profit.
Food, farming systems and training are the three components to what we do. Our goal is to create an economic engine to fund world change so that it’s financially sustainable. We sell food, systems and training so we can give all those things and more to communities in need.
