Apply to Be a 2027 Conference Speaker
La 2027 Florida Farm to School Conference is a dynamic, in-person gathering celebrating and advancing Farm to School efforts statewide. Attendees will participate in workshops, presentations, panel discussions, facilitated networking, field trips to local farms, and more.
Every session is designed to provide attendees with practical skills, actionable takeaways, and the confidence to make positive changes in their schools and communities. This year’s program will shine a light on hands-on learning rooted in real-world agricultural insights, offering opportunities to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas.
We welcome any speakers passionate about strengthening Farm to School initiatives, including:
- Educadores
- Food service professionals
- Farmers and food producers
- School administrators
- Wellness and public health professionals
- Community organizations
Proposals must:
- Be submitted by the October 31 deadline
- Be fully completed (no blank fields)
- Contain no overt commercial promotion
- Include opportunities for interactive participation and discussion
- Highlight innovative approaches to Farm to School integration in classrooms, cafeterias, and/or communities
Submission Deadline: October 31, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: On or around December 17, 2026

If you have strategies, stories, or skills that can empower others to make an impact, we invite you to submit your proposal and be part of the Florida Farm to School movement!
We are seeking engaging, interactive workshop proposals aligned with our 2027 theme, Sprouting Sunshine, exploring how innovative ideas, partnerships, and practices can help Farm to School programs take root and thrive.
Ideal proposals will:
- Touch on one of our three Florida Farm to School pillars:
- Adquisición
- Huertos escolares
- Agriculture Education
- Share tangible, practical tools, and strategies
- Foster peer-to-peer learning and participant engagement
- Offer key takeaways attendees can put into action right away
- Showcase diverse approaches to Farm to School programs

When submitting your proposal, you will be asked to select the format best suited for your session. Choose from:
- Lecture: 50-minute lecture-style session with one or more speakers and a PowerPoint presentation.
- Hands-on Workshop: 50-minute skill-building session with interactive activities.
