Welcome to the Florida Teaching Garden
What is the Florida Teaching Garden?
The Florida Teaching Garden provides countless ways to engage students with hands-on learning opportunities and prepare for career readiness.
The Florida Teaching Garden is an outdoor living laboratory created for all Floridians to enjoy and serves as a model for school garden initiatives throughout the state. It demonstrates how to use gardens as a teaching tool for hands-on learning and thinking critically about our relationship to food, agricultural systems and health.
The Florida Teaching Garden directly supports Harvest of the Month and National School Lunch Programs. It serves to further support our mission of reducing food insecurity in Florida.
COMING SOON
The Florida Teaching Garden is currently under construction and projected to launch in the Spring 2024.
We look forward to sharing dynamic workshops and technical training opportunities as we learn to think critically about food systems and healthy eating choices.
